Burn Video Games

Burning video games has many benefits. The main one being that it saves you a ton of money that you aren't spending to keep buying new games. The problem is, in most cases its illegal to do this. There is a way however for you to burn video games legally. I'm going to talk to you briefly about that and then I will explain how you can go about copying your own games. The method I'm going to tell you about is really simple too. You don't need to be some technical genius to figure it out. This works for all of the major consoles as long as they use a CD as the game which most do these days anyway.

So how do you burn video games legally?

The law states that it's illegal for someone to copy a video game and then sell it or redistribute it. You can however legally make backup copies of games that you already own. So let me give you an example of how this could benefit you.

First off, we all know that CDs aren't the most durable things around and they do get scratched or damaged easily. Plus, they can be easily lost or stolen. If you were to just make several backups of all your video games after you buy them, you will never face this problem. Even if someone does steal your games or you scratch the disc, you have a few backups which you can just grab and load right up in your system. Why spend an extra $60 or so every time something happens to a game that you already paid for?

Secondly, what if the newest game just got released and every store in your area sold out very quickly. You were able to get a copy but your friend couldn't find one anywhere and you guys wanted to play online together that day. Since it's legal for you to make a backup copy of your own game, you can go ahead and burn the game and use it on your system and then let your friend borrow your copy of the game so you both can play together. This is well within the law since there's no law that says you can't let a friend borrow your video games.

How do you burn video games?

There are only a few things which you will need to start burning video games. I will list them below:

  • a computer with two CD/DVD drives capable of burning discs
  • The games you want to copy and some blank DVD discs
  • A game copying software program

A good game copying software should be easy to use and also get around the built-in protection that comes on all game systems these days that doesn't allow you to play burned games. It should also produce perfect quality and the burned game should work just as good as the original copy of your game.

Once you have all of this, it's really just as easy as inserting the game you want to copy and letting the software do all the work.

So now that you know how to burn video games, from this point on you shouldn't have to waste anymore unnecessary money on games. Just remember to stay within the law so you don't run into any trouble with it.
